Vicki Blankenship has continued to add venues to her nationally touring schedule playing in over 200 different venues in the last 3 years, along with over 25 festivals and conferences. Her songs are being featured on radio shows internationally. She proudly lives her life "Out" and works hard promoting women in music, LGBT rights, and raising money for cancer research. She is the Founder/President of Indie Music For Life a non profit raising money for cancer research. She is the new CEO for Indiegrrl the largest networking organization supporting women singer songwriters in the independent music arena and is building up showcase opportunities featuring women's music. She was chosen as a featured artist in the nationally recognized "Art of Survivorship" along with Kevin Hearn of the "Bare Naked Ladies", Kevin Carlburg, Michael Tiernan and other award winning song writers. She is also President of SWOOP East an organization of open lesbian women and supporters that does charitable repair work for the shut in, elderly, low income, or simply over whelmed people in the coastal community on NC. Her titled song "Horizons" deals with the sexual abuse of a 4 year old girl and how she grows up to deal with and accept her lifestyle as a lesbian and losing a partner of 11 years.
